Quick DIY Root Touch Up (2024)

If you dye your hair every 4-6 weeks then you know the struggle of needing to get your roots touched up and not being able to! I’ll show you a quick way you can temporarily blend your gray roots until you can come into the salon for your touch up.

You’re going to need:

  1. Wet the brush.
  2. Dip in the shadow.
  3. Gently brush on the roots while holding the hair with tension.
  4. Spray the roots with some hairspray to set.
  5. Let dry for a few seconds.
  6. Gently comb the roots so the hair is not stiff from the hairspray.
  7. Done!

Make sure you use a stiff brush! If you use a soft brush it’s a lot easier to get it on the skin.
