What is a VTCT Level 3 qualification equivalent to? ›

Tech levels are rigorous advanced (Level 3) technical qualifications on a par with A Levels and recognised by employers. They are for students aged 16 plus who want to specialise in a specific industry or prepare for a particular job.

Course duration:

This course is a fast-track programme consisting of 12 days of classes plus a two-day practical exam. Students can choose to attend classes either two days a week for 6 weeks or one day a week for 12 weeks, typically completing the course in 6 or 12 weeks (3 months).
