SYNOPSIS

Prevailing winds have shifted to easterly as high pressurebuilding over the Mid-Atlantic states wedges down the southeasternseaboard. Showers and thunderstorms will increase in coverageacross our local waters along and south of a stalled frontalboundary through today. The frontal boundary will graduallyslide southward dissipate over the local waters by Thursday, withprevailing onshore winds continuing as high pressure weakens offthe eastern seaboard. Storm coverage will decrease Friday throughSaturday, with prevailing winds then shifting to southwesterlyduring the weekend ahead of the next slowing frontal boundaryapproaching from the north.
