He comes to the natural state quite often to perform in concert. Johnson during the show reminisced about performing in Arkansas during the early days in his career and appreciated where he’s at in country music now. “I remember one of the first times we ever came to Arkansas. It was a long time ago and I think we had about 75 people in the bar. In case you ain’t noticed, this is a lot more than 75 people, y’all look good in here tonight!” said Johnson.

Along with that, Cody Johnson made sure to give a spotlight to the members in his band. “I want you to know something about this band. There’s no tracks on this stage. What that means, is there’s nobody over there pushing a computer playing you stuff, that’s not actually on stage. What you’re listening to tonight is seven men up here pouring their heart and soul into country music for y’all tonight.”

One of the biggest songs in Cody Johnson’s country music career has been one of his recent singles, ‘Til You Can’t. Right before performing the tune, Johnson shared how grateful he was for this song and for what’s to come with the crowd. “I want to thank everybody in country radio for giving me this song. Ben Stennis and Matt Rogers, the guys that wrote this song changed my life and I hope this song has changed your life too.”

Johnson continues, “If you didn’t take anything away from this concert tonight, I want you to listen to this, if you got a chance, take it! This was my first # 1 on country radio. And honestly after hearing you guys sing The Painter and Dirt Cheap, I don’t think it’s going to be the last!”
